Dog Behaviour Essentials Course

£125.00

In this course I will teach you the essentials of dog behaviour including how to assess your dog, determine what he is thinking, why he does what he does, and how to change his behaviour.

We’ll bust some myths, learn about associated behaviours and why they could be preventing you from solving your dogs behavioural problems, and we’ll talk about balancing your dogs mind and body in preparation for rehabilitation.

There will be a total of ten hours of tuition split over five weeks, classes will be small and there will be plenty of discussion, handouts, and, where possible, I’ll try to arrange for a suitable dog to come along!

The schedule is anticipated to be:

Week 1: Getting to know your Dog, Assessing Behaviour, Normal Dog Behaviour, and Creating a Solid Foundation for Rehabilitation.

Week 2: How Dogs Learn, Creating Good Experiences, Influences on Behaviour, Life Stages, and Changing Behaviour.

Week 3: Living Cooperatively, Making Rules, Communicating with Your Dog.

Week 4: Managing Excitement and Anxiety, Socialisation Issues and Undoing Bad Experiences.

Week 5: Guarding and Possession, Aggressive Behaviour, Making a Plan, Using Tools and Measuring Success.

Classes start at 7pm on the following dates (Mondays): 24th February, 2nd March, 9th March, (Break), 23rd March, 30th March.

This course of five, two hour classes, costs £125.
