Walk like a pack leader
Walking a dog should be a pleasure, but for so many it is a painful chore; the
dog pulls so hard your shoulder aches, you are frustrated and angry, you want to
let him off the lead but you just know you will never get him back - sound familiar?
This session is designed to teach you how to walk
your dog so that you can finally start to enjoy it. It will last
approximately two hours and by the end of it you will know how to walk your dog
to heel on a loose lead, how to deal with distractions and what equipment is
best for your dog, most dogs are walking to heel by the end of the session.
The Basics - three
commands every dog should know
In January, on a beach in
Bangor, a dog found and consumed a very large quantity of canabis. She
became very seriously ill and spent many weeks recovering from loss of
vision, disorientation and a loss of balance. The story was all over
the news and I discussed ways to prevent this from happening again with
Carolyn Stewart live on radio U105. People soon got in touch with me
and as a result I have introduced this two hour training session.
I will show you how to train
your dog to Sit, Stay and Come. Teaching your
dog these three basic commands will give you the control you need in most
situations. These sessions will be of
maximum benefit to you if your dog has no behaviour problems, if you are
having problems with your dog I recommend you book a Behaviour Consultation
first to address these problems as many behaviour problems are caused by
Pack Leadership issues and in these cases it is important for you to be seen
as the dogs pack leader otherwise he will not want to learn from you. |
